This ring is handmade using a traditional sandcasting technique and combines the organic texture of molten metal with the sleek and contemporary contrast of gold and oxidized silver.
The ring starts as a wax carving that is then pressed into a mold prepared of sand; when the metal is poured into this mold, the sand imparts a sparkling, granular texture onto the metal, making each ring completely one-of-a-kind. A piece of solid gold is placed in the sand, allowing the silver to flow around it. It is thereby secured within the ring, a shining gold accent against a backdrop of oxidized silver.

The gold inlay portion of the band measures approximately 4x4mm
